Kenneth Asporaat – Ken Theater

“Today I was very emotional. 10 years ago I was a student at ROC Zadkine (MBO). I came from high school (middelbare) and I had a backpack full of problems. I was insecure, rebellious, annoying and a smart ass. On all my school years I heard that I am not good enough and how difficult I was. That I wouldn’t succeed in life and that I have to go work with my hands. 10 years later (today) I had an English lesson from my former teacher at ROC Zadkine. She was different and always saw something special in me. Today she told me that she is very proud of me and that I am special. From the inside I broke and I found inner peace. Sometimes you don’t know how special you are till somebody tells you, you are. People underestimated what words can do with somebody. But 10 years later the circle is complete. To have her at my office to advise me and prepare me for my next journey. Makes me speechless! A good teacher does not only mean giving information about school material. A good teacher is a coach, a motivator and an experience expert. Leyla thank you for the time and most of all being an inspirational and an incredible person. 11th of January I am going to America to work on a big project and work on a new goal a company in the States. I will tell you all about it later!!”
